Missing Aunt Courtney
Saturday morning, I found Karis doing this in the living room when I got home from teaching at the Y.

Aunt Courtney was reading a book to her ponies and princesses. Courtney gave the kids a book about how much she loves them which when you turn the page, she reads each page. It is such a wonderful gift for them. Karis said she missed Aunt Courtney and wanted to "let her be the librarian."

It was a very sweet scene to come home to. Aunt Court you are missed here at the Childers' home, and your book is well loved and read by your niece and nephew. Miss you Court! Thanks for all your well planned and thoughtful gifts for us and the kids!

Trucks and a Tutu
Monday Karis and Noah received a few gifts from their Aunt Courtney! I have been so excited to see Noah's comforter, and I was not disappointed. Courtney, you did a fantastic job. Noah was so excited! I tried to get him to take a picture in his bed, but he didn't want to.
The whole comforter, animals and all, put just how Noah likes them!
Trucks, cars, trains, diggers, all of these are on his new bedspread. He sits on it and names all the trucks! I am surprised he naps in his bed with so many trucks to look at!
Karis got a Fancy Nancy tutu, courtesy of Aunt Courtney, she made it. I don't think she has taken it off since she got it. She even wore it on an errand, which I have always thought I would never let my kid do that, oh how I have learned not to say never!
As usual, my girl is not the picture taking kind.
I at least got a half laugh in this picture. The necklaces only enhance her fancy tutu she made sure to tell me that!
Thanks so much Courtney, you did a wonderful job as usual!

Early Christmas Gift
My wonderful husband surprised me last Friday with a new front loader washing machine. My washing machine had been acting up a lot lately, I would have to manually turn it on the inside to get the spin cycle to start after every wash. It was a bit laborious, but I was getting used to it. Justin does enjoy having his laundry done, everything washed, folded, put up, and ironed. This is actually probably my favorite household chore to do. The first thing I did was wash our comforter, no more laundry mat for me!! (at least fora awhile).
I am so very blessed. What a gift from the Lord and my very sweet husband. I don't know how I will top this one! Any ideas?

Valentine's Day!
We had a great Valentine's Day last Saturday. Justin's sister and his dad and step mom sent Valentine's gifts for the kids. They had a lot of fun opening them up on Saturday. They really enjoyed the candy! Who wouldn't! Here are some pics.
Noah got a new snack (Cheerios) holder from Aunt Courtney, much more manly than the one I carry around.

Ever Seen One of These?!
A few weeks ago, Noah received the most unique gift from sweet Mrs. Nancy, a very dear friend of ours who loves my children dearly. To say this gift is unique is just not giving it enough credit. When I opened the gift, my first thought was "What?" Along with a good giggle, I brought it home and put it on Noah.
Here are a few pictures of Noah's "full body bib!"
It even has straps for his legs!
Another frontal view!
It was pretty hot for a few days so I decided after Noah had spit up on his last two shirts to just let him wear the bib with his diaper, he didn't seem to mind. Hey Calvin, always getting into the pictures! Check out Calvin's hair cut, he really needs a better groomer! I usually groom him in between hair cuts!

So for those of you who are now in the loop of what a full body bib is, maybe you should get one too. I really do like it, it catches all the slobber and spit up. I know that one day Noah will stop spitting up!
Thank you Mrs. Nancy for your unique, sweet gift, it was perfect for my sweet boy who seems to soil all his clothes and bibs!!
